Swedish verbs do not change for person: jag byter, du byter, hon byter, vi byter, de byter. Learn one form per tense and you can use it with everyone.
How byta conjugates
Group 2b works like 2a, but the past takes -te because the stem ends in a voiceless consonant (k, p, s, t, x): köpa → köper, köpte, köpt. So byta → byter, bytte, bytt.
Passive (s-form)
Swedish makes the passive by adding -s: the doer drops out and the thing acted on becomes the subject. Spoken Swedish often prefers bli + past participle (blev byt).
| Form | Swedish |
